Painting in Holidays offers one week, tutored painting courses and printing workshops for beginners as well as the more advanced artist, in water colours, oils, acrylics, screen printing, mono printing, etching etc. and non-tutored art breaks.
Class sizes are deliberately kept small with usually only four students and occasionally to an absolute maximum of six. This ensures that in-depth tuition and individual attention is always maintained with the result that no-one will feel left out, lost, out of their depth or struggling alone. Anyone requiring extra tuition will find it easily and eagerly given.
Easels, stools, drawing board and cleaning materials are all provided. You may wish to bring your own personal equipment (i.e. drawing pads, pencils, soft pencils, pastels, charcoal brushes etc.) although most basic materials can be purchased from the studio. You are advised to check with your airline as to which items you are allowed to bring, particularly if you wish to bring some as hand luggage.
Tutored Painting Course
Whether you are an experienced artist or just beginning your painting adventure, a Dalvaro Art painting course will give you the individual attention that you deserve. Dolores is fully experienced in teaching students of different levels in various media. She will teach you, in situ, at various locations just a short drive from the studio. Each days location will be different and will include landscape or architectural views. These sessions last for approximately three hours per day and continue in the studio after a leisurely lunch.

Printing Workshops
Ideal for those adventurous artists to try something completely different, or for those experienced enough to try new formats.
Whether it’s lithography, photo etching, monoprinting, silk screen printing or etching that captivates your imagination, you will be able to immerse yourself in your own wonderful world of artistic freedom here at ‘Las Orchideas’.
This is an entirely studio based course, with all the equipment and materials included.
The sessions start at approximately 10 am and last for 6 hours per day, with lunch and refreshment breaks included. Due to the complexities of the various printing processes we cannot have a strict timetable, but we do not work during the hottest part of the day.
During the week we allocate one free day for you to do as you wish. Excursions to the surrounding can be arranged.

Non Tuition Art Breaks
Designed for the artist who does not wish to be tied to a structured course or timetable.
For the self disciplined artist who wants a relaxing break to do their own ‘thing’ but at times may want the company of other similar minded people.
This ‘art break’ is a luxury stay in Dolores’s hillside, colonial styled, villa, overlooking the town of Beniganim and the Valle D’Albaida, where the only decisions you have to make are what to do to relax. The opportunity is here for you to practise your own style of art as and when you wish. Talk art or just relax by the pool. Relax and rejuvenate body and mind with new friends or be alone.
Remember we never have more than six people at any one time. Meals are taken as a group the rest of the week is yours. You can, as some people do, stay within the confines of the landscaped grounds, there are many secluded seating areas, to read or sketch, or take the occasional stroll down to the town. Excursions to Xativa castle or the surrounding area can sometimes be arranged. You should realize that this area is totally unspoiled as far as tourism is concerned.
If you do not like the idea of being ‘alone’ why not come as a party of friends or part of an art club group and enjoy our substantial group discounts.
